We embark on our fifth season of the concert series with the 2026-27 season. In addition to our flagship concert, the annual Christmas concert (our sixth!), we have a variety of local and regional artists including Uniqulele, Joshua Mazur (director of the Ocala Symphony Chorus), advanced community handbell choirs, a barbershop chorus, and much, much more!
To date there have been 37 concerts in the series and we have featured local "in-house" musicians at Joy Lutheran, local groups Uniqulele and the Amazzing Steel Drum Ensemble, the Gainesville Brass Quintet, and other major artists like Thomas Keesecker and Eirinn Abu. Since the series began over 5,000 attendees have come to our concerts.
The series has raised over $5,000 for local and regional charitable organizations like Wear Gloves, Good Spirit Foundation, and the Isaiah 117 House in Marion County. Love offerings and donations from all the other concerts initially went to funding the JOY handbell choir expansion project. The expansion project was completed during the 2023-24 season and collections are now used to cover the costs of the series itself - artist fees, supplies, reception costs, and so forth.
All concerts are free and open to the public.
A reception is held after the concert so you can meet the artists.
