PUTTING FOOD ON THE TABLE
Interfaith Emergency Services has operated a Food Pantry on NW 2nd Street in Ocala for 25 years. They are committed to ending hunger and supporting self-sufficiency. The National Poverty Guidelines are used to determine eligibility. Then the pantry distributes food in amounts appropriate for an individual or a family. The Food Pantry is generally open on weekdays from 8:30am to 11:30am and from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
How can you help? Joy has a Food Pantry Cabinet in the narthex where you may put non-perishable food items.
Recommended items: canned vegetables, fruit, juice, and spaghetti sauce. Boxed items like cereal, pasta, rice, and beans. Macaroni and cheese is a favorite, but look for dinners that can be prepared without adding any extra ingredients. Peanut butter and jelly in plastic rather than glass are always welcome.
Your donations are delivered to the Interfaith Food Pantry monthly by our volunteers.
Help fill the pantry that feeds our most needy families.
